Becoming a member of your community league is a great investment in enhancing the quality of life in our neighbourhood. Your membership fee goes to support free ice-skating and swimming in local facilities as well as a variety of community building events. Fundraising activities and grants provide the majority of funds for community league operations, maintenance and some of the programs. A Community League membership is required for registration in community sports such as baseball, soccer and hockey.

What does your community league do for you?

  • provide organized team sports and summer playground programs for children
  • develop and enhance local parks and recreation facilities
  • develop and maintain hockey and ice-skating rinks from November to March
  • maintain the community hall for events, activities, and celebrations
  • offer a forum for discussion and action on neighbourhood or district concerns
  • free swims at Confederation Leisure Centre Saturdays & Sundays from 4pm-5:30pm

Membership Fees and Application Form

To celebrate our 50th anniversary we are offering community league memberships “by donation” to ensure that all Royal Gardens residents are able to take advantage of membership perks. Traditionally we have charged $40 for a family membership and $30 for an individual membership.

All memberships expire at the end of August each year.  For more information, email at
